"The Week of Educators"
GEG Peru ran The Week of Educators Google Peru 2019 on its 5th anniversary in the first week of September. The sessions were in-person workshops and videoconferences. They plan to host this annually and dedicate a week of learning, integration, and promotion for use of Google’s educational applications and other platform tools to promote learning, as well as to share experiences that help drive educational change.

GEG Leaders at the "G Suite & Chromebook Learning Journey"
Google for Education Taiwan team walked with Taichung Education Bureau and GEG Taichung to host "G Suite & Chromebook Learning Journey" in Huludun Elementary School last August 12th. 150+ educators attended the event regardless of the rainstorm on the day of the event.

Be sure to add Sunday, October 13th to your calendars! That is the date for the inaugural GEG APAC Connect event planned to run in multiple language streams.
GEG APAC Connect will bring together multiple GEG leaders with the aim to:
Strengthen communication between APAC GEG Leaders.
Collective outreach/promotion of all GEGs in the region.
Arrange an innovative event that reaches out to educators in Asia-Pacific in multiple languages for multiple levels.

New Certification Bootcamps in Brazil
L2 Certification Bootcamp: 5 weeks of qualification for 112 educators of different parts of Brazil. 14 voluntary GEG leaders are mentoring the team. Most of these educators are motivated to get the certification to apply to the Google Innovator program. This year, the application period will end on September 27.
L1 Certification Bootcamp: Two other groups are open with the support of leaders Vânia Flores from GEG Varginha, Márcia Cosme from GEG São Bernardo do Campo and Veronica Melendez from GEG Santo André.
L1 Certification Bootcamp: Vânia Flores is also leading another group for the Municipal System of Varginha, within the launch program of G Suite for Education for this network. The qualification is happening from September to December, both physically and online, and aims the digital fluency to the utilization of Google tools in pedagogical practice.

GEG-Ohio monthly online meetings
With the start of the new school year, GEG-Ohio had its first online meeting on 29th August. These will be monthly and will cover all the new features and updates in G Suite from the last month, as well as great ideas for using Google tools in school.

GEG Scotland is growing
The use of G Suite for Education in Scotland continues to grow as many more local authorities enable access within Glow - Scotland national learning platform. As a result of this growth, the population of Scottish Google for Education Certified Trainers is increasing - GEG Scotland now has an incredible 15 trainers amongst its community! This incredible team of trainers all run the @GEGScotland Twitter page, sharing practice, resources and ideas for embedding G Suite for Education in the classroom. I am sure we will be seeing many more posts from GEGScotland in these newsletters.
